modifications, what is best?

I have just bought an 06 vectra 1.9 cdti sri 150. i am new to all this modifying and would like your thoughts on what is best to do first with the aim to improve BHP and MPG. Sorry if i am repeating already answered questions but i would like as much info as possible as i am a complete novice.

are induction kits worth while/a good starting point?

check the 'how2' section for cleaning the boost sensor,cleaning the EGR and 'de-coking' the engine,found this helped me with th mpg,581 miles to 55litres,mostly A road driving(not much in the way of motorways in n.ireland

Is it a 120 or 150 mate? farley's given you a couple of things to get you started but i also depensd on what you want to do with the car and how you want it to look. Some people class the sound system as a vital component, so for them getting an uprated head unit would be a priority. For others, they'd maybe paint the callipers for a bit of external style, kinda thing. it really depends on what yu want from your car, but deffo go read through the how-to's and see what jobs you feel are within your grasp.

Once you've done Farley's, have a look at the How to on de restricting the airbox, think about a K & N or similar air filter or make sure you replace the paper one regularly.
Some run better on V power or equivalent diesel, or put it in every 3 to 4 tankfulls.
Have a look at the threads about additives, most use millers or redex, been an interesting thread lately on 2 stroke oil instead.

also if your wallet permits, get a tuning box or remap, usualy gets you an extra few mpg

also try airbox mod
