    Default Adding a clifford Led.

    Is it possible to add a clifford Led to my standard vauxhall alarm system,i have just found a blue one lying around in my old toolbox.

    If so how ? Please

    How many wires does it have? I wouldn't want to tap into the alarm system as it seems a bit over sensative at times. I'd say the best option would be to wire it to a relay thats controlled by an ignition live circuit such as the cig lighter socket.

    They LEDs draw next to no amperage at all so I wouldn't bother with a relay tbh. Best way would be to run positive and negative wires direct from the battery and put a small switch on the + wire and just use it manually, as chrisbilly say the Vec's alarm doesn't like being messed around with at the best of times.

    That makes thing alot harder, You will find it does not flash either as is it the clifford system that flashes the led,

    You would have to rewire the led part with a 12v flashing blue led and use a relay to switch on when ignition is off,

    Sounds like alot of hassle for something so minor,it was just an idea.
