    Hi All,

    please forgive me if im about to ask a question that has already been answered. I have had a look on here but am quite confused.

    I have previously posted about my 54' Vectra V6 CDTi and my suspected injector problems.

    On idle, the car shakes (I wouldn't say violently, but 'vigorously'), this has got alot worse recently.

    I would like people's opinions on this, as i've seen some pretty knowledgeable stuff on the forum!

    I thought that the shaking could be the DMF, but the shaking doesn't go away when you 'tighten' up the gearbox or use the clutch. The only time is stops vibrating is when I rev the car - and it sounds pretty smooth.

    I've tried running injector cleaner through the system - with no avail.

    The car does smoke slightly, but i wouldn't say excessively.

    I really don't want to have to fork out for a Tech 2 session, and was considering buying a cheap Op-Com thing on ebay - is this a bad idea? or could this point me in the right direction (i've been slightly confused by some posts surrounding this). Can new/replacement/existing injectors be coded using this £40 quid thing?

    yeh i've had a look, nearest one to me would be bolton, about 120 mile round trip :-(

    From what I understand, faulty injectors are more accurately diagnosed through a leak-off test than with op-com.

    OP-COM or TECH2 don't read injector values on the prefacelift 3.0CDTi. Neither can they be reprogrammed with either...
    I just replaced the injectors on my V6CDTI and it still smokes, sometimes more, sometimes less...I was expecting no smoke with new injectors The engine does run smoother though and mpg went up

    Your issue is quite different, and is shuddering on load and in gear
    This issue relates to shuddering on idle. quite different

    You will need to find a mechanic with experience of the Y30DT, and don't listen to any that say "Yes, we can look at that"
    Sadly you won't get anything from EMS, unless the warnng light has come on
    However having the fuel readings is helpful, but they must be correct and accurate

    So to summarise...

    Im probably looking at an injector problem?
    Im going to get the injectors tested by a DENSO and BOSCH specialist.
    If they turn out ok... It will be to the local vaux specialist!
