    Default EDS remap

God it's limp isn't it! The car was so much slower with their remap than a CRD-T tuning box. I have both on now, which lets me make more torque low down without heavy smoke but gives me the big heap of torque and good top end that the EDS remap doesn't deliver.

I have Emailed EDS to ask for alot more and am awaiting a reply.
Has anyone else asked for a custom remap service from them?

eds have limiters built in to stop the car ripping itself apart from the inside- so the addition of the tuning box should unleash enough power for you to do that ;-)

seriously though- is it that bad?? really?? mine made my 2.0dti a pleasure to drive :-D

then again I dont drive like the stig lol

Well going from what I was driving, to the EDS 200/430 map was noticeabley limp and the gps data logger results confirmed it isn't just in my mind. Addmitedly, I was going from 30psi of boost down to about 25psi or less on the EDS map.

Surely the EDS map isnt designed for your turbo etc? Would a custom map not have been more useful to take in to account your mods?

    Racelogic.

No, clearly, which is why I am using the box to achieve the needed pressure and add more fuel to work with it. EDS say they can make maps for hybrids, so I am waiting for them to come back.

Custom maps would only be any good if someone was going to take my car away for weeks and test/modify/test/modify. They just give you the same as everyone else in and tell you to smile about it.

It torque steers like a pig in 4th gear at the moment, so I am happy with the performance. I would like to see what EDS come back with though.

That would be nice and I looked at that option but the cost was foolishness. With a remap, tuning box (custom map on the tuning box) and water:methanol (using a controlled fed by RPM and boost), I can get as close to a live map as this car can have. Especially as I can change the water:methanol injection setting while running.

What is / was the power output with the EDS Map alone ? & are you still on a OE Ecu ? & when you ran with the EDS Map & The Tuning box on your Earlier Vec C , Did you or should i say the car Suffer with any Gremlins ? Check Engine, Limp Modes Etc . ??

    Cheers
