Did it hit the fan or what two nights back. First our grandson is misbehaving big time and his mum got it in her head I was going to take him away from her - no thanks! Then it really kicked off.
Background: My ex had an affair with an alleged drug dealer, then left me for him, taking my daughter but leaving me with the two boys. She then married a convicted child molester and went to court for custody of the younger boy.
Court said it's all or none, so she asked for all three, and got them, over my objections - then all went missing for years. Turned up locally, left for dead, he'd been beating her and locking her in a cupboard. It broke her physically and mentally. We went above and beyond what we could manage to help, then she blanked us again and blocked all access to kids.
Fast forward 10+ years to the other night, my oldest lad, fresh out of a same sex relationship he apparently went into for the money had a 3 page tirade of what a rotten dad I was, finally accusing me of locking him in his bedroom then beating and sexually abusing him at age 15. There were no locks on any of the bedroom doors of the houses he was in with us, nor had he lived with us for 6 or 7 years then. This would have been around 2001, around when his stepdad proved to have been abusing his mum, and I've been disabled since 1997, but he reckons his mum, brother and sister all witnessed it and will give statements. I've reported it all to police, they say civil matter, get a good solicitor. I tried to get him to put up or shut up, but he says he doesn't have to prove what he knows happened.
    My head hurts.

Apparently it only becomes a police matter when he tells them, he can post what he likes on Facebook, Twitter etc and it's just slander. Will be seeing a solicitor.

Thanks all, for above. i'm already on four pills a day for blood pressure, I've had a permanent headache for two days over this as even they couldn't keep it down.
I asked him to put up or shut up, but he says he has no need to prove it - correct, unless I sue him for slander.
I wish he would go to the police, then I could be cleared and him and his mum would be forced to confront the lies they've been spreading for years - but why should he, when he can get attention on the Net?

Update, police confirmed not a police matter unless he goes and reports it, which he won't do, he insists he needs no proof ( in other words, as it never happened, he had none, and the dates won't add up) to brand me a child molester. Solicitor wants £500 just to meet with me, which if I had would go servicing the Vec. Iif he reckons his mother, brother and sister will all give statements that they were present and observed it, what an odd thing for them to all stand and watch?
My wife has now remembered that at their mum's house, the bedroom doors did all have locks on, but the only other person that could verify that, my stepdaughter, says she won't disrupt her life by getting involved. Grrr.

The net is a wonderful thing, i have been slated on FB, but they wont add me as a friend to allow me to comment, strange huh ?

Let them have their moment mate, try and not get worked up, (Famous last words) but they will forget and move on to something else.
