    Default Liars, liars and conmen!!

    ARRGH!!

I am absolutely staggered at the amount of liars and potential conmen are out there.

I have been out and about over the last few week's looking for a good honest car for the wife and I am absolutely at the extent of lies people are telling.

Over the last week I have seen a car that has been clocked from 120,000 miles down to 55,000 miles, seen another one that has been damaged repaired (blatently obvious to look at but when questioned over the phone they refused they said no and when viewed and questioned they said yes), then been to see another one that had previously been a taxi and when questioned the chap he went errm, well, OK to be honest yeh I have done taxi in it, and to top things off I have been to see another one which the person for some reason doesnt want me to drive, although it has tax and MOT and insurance!

Oh and not forgetting the home trader, I asked a person how long you have had the car and the response was 2 weeks, so I questioned are you a trader, and the comment was no, HOWEVER my father buys and sells cars, so your a trader from home? NO MY Father buys and sells cars. So are you only selling this one, NO WE HAVE 3!!

    !! FFS !!!

I dont know what it is with people but just be honest folks, you will earn a lot more respect!

Makes me mad!! I just want an honest car where it ticks the boxes and everything adds up!

Yep.. I was buying a car for my girlfriend late last year and spoke to a trader about 100 miles away.

"The car is absolutely mint, no scratches or damage mate"

So I drive 100 miles to view a total piece of ****... front repair damage, resprayed front bumper, wing and bonnet. Interior filthy

Was so annoyed and told him to his face, but he was not bothered one bit

Thing was on the way home went past a dealer by chance and saw the car we were looking on the forecourt... bought that instead so wasnt a wasted day

Thing is I dont mind buying an ex damaged car as long as its repaired well and trustworthy and the seller has been honest. What i dont like is seeing a damaged reapired car which WHEN QUESTIONED has been disclosed as no accident damage and then when you see it - there is quite clearly history of damage. Some really good actors out there when they plead ignorence, or they are even thicker than me for falling into the trap to go an see the damn thing! Ill show a picture of one I went to see.

Its down to money, lots of people are greedy with no moral fiber. Sad I know.

    Sorry to hear mate,

though I had similar experiences and decided to pay more, buy from a dealer and have someone to sue the **** out if things turn out to be false ...

The last car I bought had EGR issues, chrankshaft sensor issue and a non working interior light.

Just popped back to the dealer and told them who I am working for.
since my boss is locally very respected and well known it was all sorted for free and immediatly. Had it checked up after and all parts had been exchanged for new ones ...

And I still got 3month warranty left ;o)

HERE IS ONE I CALLED UP ABOUT ABOUT LAST WEEK.

I got the address and drove past it, immediately noticed something, so didnt even bother knocking on the door.

Have a look, can you spot whats wrong with this??

Again I got no issues buying a Cat-D but if im not told about it upon questionning then there is something to hide IMHO!! Especially when further questionning proves they did know!!

Strange what some people think they can get away with

I remember going to look at an Escort xr3i once. One screamed by us in my mates mk3 gsi. A little game pursued and this guy ragged the nuts off it. We stopped for petrol and continued to travel to view this lovely XR3i I wanted. We turned up and what a surprise it was the XR3i. I looked the car over and asked the guy has it ever been thrashed? No mate he replied the wifes drives it I have never driven it in the 2 years we owned it, never even gets above 60mph. I said do you wanna have a look at our car, the look on his face said it all when he saw the astra. I walked away with a smile and bought something else
