F23 auto gearbox oil

Hi to all.

Please can someone tell me how to change the oil & what oil do i need for the f23 gearbox sorry if it been explaned before as i could not find it. Thank's for looking.

Hi Paddy
remove lower engine cover,drain plug is the lower plug near the drive shaft,allow transmission to idle for 10/20 seconds to empty torque converter,refit drain plug to 40 Nm torque.
unscrew bolt from fluid dip stick under bonnet and remove dip stick.fill to between hot and cold on the dipstick,(about 3 Litres ).
start engine and allow to idle ,with parking brake on and engine idling move gear selector from P to D and back to P,recheck level with engine idling,
run vehicle and check level with transmission at operating temperature (70/80 degrees Celsius)
do not open the large sealed hexagon bolt or THE TRANSMISSION WILL HAVE TO BE RELACED!!!!!!!!!!

Back again paddy all i can think of is there was a problem of delayed upshift from 2 to 3 and engine revs increased because of the delay,it was caused by oil pressure varying between shifts,it was a softwear problem, from 04 the softwear and hardwear was modified to cure the problem,no codes were shown with the prob.
Vauxhall should have all the info (maybe ? never know with VX )
