I have a 2.2dti sri with a steinbauer tunning box.
Done the air box mod and have a green filter.

It's not sluggish but is there any way to get more power or is that it.

Is it worth de-cating the exhaust?

Definatly worth getting a decat and a free flowing exhaust mate.

After that you'll be looking to upgrade turbos etc (my next move)

When was it last serviced and what grade of oil are you using?

I do all my own work and serviced it about 3 months ago. I bought a 40 gallon drum of semi-syn oil from Vauxhall for about £140 and am using that.

Does taking the cat off make much of a differance?
Is there an increase in noise, especailly at gear changes?

Changed my bananna bars on rear suspension 2 nights ago after 1 1/2 years on. Weak part or poor design of the vec.

It should make the car pull alot smoother. You may not notice much of a difference in noise though. Taking the centre silencer out would make a difference to the noise.

Did you change the diesel filter when you serviced it?

Didn't change the diesel filter. I don't change it that often as I don't think it makes much differance. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Congealed diesel can clog up the filter and if there should be any crap in the tank it would filter that too

I was going to suggest a tow...
If there is no smoke then you could happily stick in more diesel or another fuel (methanol/ethanol/propane/butane).
depends how far you want to go?

The fuel filter is the thing that protects the fuel pump, should be changed every 2 years at the latest, more frequently if high mileage.
