Default Best place for a replacement bumper?

    Hi guys.

Today someone decided to reverse out of their driveway and ignore the 12 foot long silver streak parked outside my dads house and bent the rear bumper. So I've got to source a new one or pay £150 to get this fixed. That is paint, labour and trying to sort out the deformed but on the wheel arch. Where is the best place to look for one? I need a Star Silver 3 SRi bumper with the single cutout. I'm not even sure how much one second hand will cost.

    Cheers.

Why do people insist on reversing out their drive way's when its illegal to reverse on to a main road? Do you not have a clue who it was? Report it to the police as a matter of course, there's 2 charges there I can see, Failing to Report an accident and driving without due care and attention. Anyway ebays your best bet or a local breakers, plenty of star silver 3's.

It's a cul-de-sac and very quiet. I know who did it - next door neighbours mum. She came and knocked on the door about it. Despite us both having insurance it would be cheaper to pay for a repair myself than the excess on the policy. How she managed to not see it I don't know.

Spent a few hours cleaning it up, taking the Vauxhall badge off the boot and washing and waxing 2 days ago! Sods law.

Well I think you better budget a bit more than £150. Is there damage to the rear quarter or wheel arch?

You'll be lucky to find anything in a breakers to be honest, I tried for my front, but very little in way of Vec C's in breakers.

There are quite a few floating around on ebay to be honest for the preface.

Her fault. Make her pay for it. And she has to pay your excess.

Why should you be out of pocket because of some clumsy idiot?

make sure the bumper you get is genuine VX and not hadrian/pattern - i used a hadrian for my front bumper and it doesn't fit too well.

    Bump.

Got a note through the door this morning from the lady that hit it. She now wants to go through insurance instead. I'd like to bet even though I wasn't in the car, my premium will be going up now. Can only just afford it as it is.
