    Default insignia foot pedals...

got mine delivered today and have just fitted them, is it me or is the accelerator pedal a real bad fit.....? the brake and clutch fit ok but still not as good a fit as i'd hope, or is it just me being a div and not fitting them properly...?

You are right. They are not an exact fit, the accelerator is a tiny bit small but the rubber stretches and it is making for a good tight fit, the brake and clutch are a tiny bit big but hey!! they are for an Insignia in truth, but the looks made it worth it to me and they have never moved in four months, and look the doggies IMHO

Just read this after buying a set not 20 minutes ago.... Is it still easily drivable?

Including track days. EG double clutching?

Honest Chris, they will be fine. I DDclutch frequently for practice and they are fine. Only time I have had any issue and this applies to every alloy pedal is when I wear smooth soles and it is wet or snowy!

Thanks mate. Good to see I didn't just spend 20 pound on some pedals for looks alone

Well we both did,,,,,,,,,, but hey!!! looks are important too ha ha ha,

As it goes you are the first person in a very long time who has mentioned double clutching, I got into it regularly when I ran American Muscle with top loader's or ratchet shifters after my idol Steve McQueen's performance in Bullitt and got it to a fine art as the noise of a well made double really turned heads

Top loaders are WAY before I was born, but I do understand them. I can't say I'm a pro at double clutching, but I do make them clean, heel and toe is essential to get even a decent track time though, So I will continue to try and get them down pat.

LOL Before my time too but had them in an old Ford V8 that was an Animal of a car, with a ponderous baboo cane of a gear lever! the ratchet was fun in a Firebird all you did was click shift so the DDC had to be ultra precise but was a true ball breaker in slow or heavy traffic as you went from gear to gear to stop!
