Havn't been able to get car started after changing fuel filter, checked filter housing, connections, plugs etc - all OK.
I have just had the car checked for error codes, garage cleared all the codes that turned up first time and one code kept coming back time after time.
Code is P0090-5B Rail Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Range/Performance (Positive Deviation)
Garage then checked if any fuel was getting to the fuel rail, loosed nut off the back of the rail and pipe was bone dry. Garage reckons the fuel rail / sensors / plugs are fine and throwing up the fault due to no fuel reaching it.
Could it be the solenoid on the HP fuel pump? Fuel is definiently getting to the pump.
Seems strange as car was running fine until I changed the fuel filter.
Any ideas on what to do / try next? Dont want to start buying fuel pumps etc if there is a simpler solution.
