Default VXR Rear Defuser Fitting Help Please

Ok folks, a bit of advice if i may...

Rear VXR Defuser is next on my radar to fit. Called the dealer today, and got a quote..

Now, i have searched the forum to try and find fitting advice, but nothing really jumps out at me, or i have missed it. So, here's my question(s)

    • Do i have to remove the rear bumper in order to fit it?
    • Is the one on at the moment easy to remove?
    • Is the new vxr defuser easy to fit.. does it bolt on or just tape?

Just to make sure i have everything correct, this is what i am going to order from the dealer and the back end of my car... i am correct that this will all fit together!!??

Well I have one to fit on my SRi bumper, and have been told it is easy to fit.

No bumper off just get the back up and fit it, maybe tiger seal if needed.....

The sri insert is a bit of a pain to remove, but not too difficult, Fitting the new one is alot easier.

As above, the likelihood you get the sri one off in one piece is nil, but the new one pops into place no probs at all.

can be fitted with bumper on car. if you look behind the insert ,you can see the plastic tags that hold it on. i cut the ends off the tags,as many as you can. then start at one end ,and pull the old trim off . the new insert fits back easy, pushing the tags back in. ( i did break the old one )

I managed to take mine off in one piece, must just be heavy handed people that break theirs.
