2 stroke oil.....wow!!!.

I know it's been mentioned on here before,but I've started using 2 stroke as a fuel additive instead of a "recognized" one.I put 250ml in with every tank of fuel and the transformation has been remarkable.The fuel consumption has improved and the engine seems smoother.Has anyone else had any similar experiences from using 2 stroke in their fuel?. FELIXX.

Yeah I started doing this a while ago. For a full tank I put in 350ml. Does really change the character of the engine.

I started putting 2 stroke in mine (350ml a tank) to lubricate the fuel pump. DTi's require lubrication from the diesel some of which isn't present in it anymore so adding some oil can't do any harm. It has made it a touch quieter and smoother too.

Wouldn't want to put 2 stroke into a petrol fuel tank. I'd stick to a proper additive.

Is all 2-stroke oil the same? like can i go and buy some cheap **** and hope it may smooth out my 2.2dti? sounds like a right tractor at the minute
