    Default welding up swirl flaps?

ok was talking to a mate of mine has a 150 signum..
his car was doing all the things my car is doing like very smokey and no power..so his uncle welded them up?
after he did i was in the signum and the transfermation was unreal!
loads of puling power and not smokey at all!!

just want to get more info on this before i am tempted to get my vectra done as its just far to expensive for me to be buying new manifolds and paying for laybour..

    thanks

Well...if it'd said swirl flops, I would have left it.

This has been raised many times but I was under the impression from posting's here that this engine struggled with blanking the swirl flaps in the way it then ran?

I do know BMW 6's run fine after isolation but then again it is a much simpler job on that engine to do this mod.
