    Default heater resister were from?

    i want to fix my heater blower it works on 2,3,4 but not 1 whats that resister i need? relay must be ok because i can hear a click when its on 1 but when i look at the blower it dont move, also where about is the resister?

    cant find the how2

    whats the best way to connect the resister i thought soldering it but just read up and because it gets hot solder wont hold

    If the fan only works on position 4 (nothing on 1,2 or 3), then it's probably the thermal fuse that's gone. This is the 82p part from Maplin. Unless you're very good, you can't solder it (because it is designed to break at 240°C), so you need to use screw or crimp connectors to join it's wires to the remains of the old fuses wires.

    If it works on any of 1,2 or 3 then the fuse is intact. You cannot replace the resistors individually, so if it works on some but not others then it's either a faulty switch in the heater controls, or you need a new resistor pack - £25 from VX.

    only works on 2,3,4 not 1 ill give it ago if it still dont work ill get a new one
