Have you looked at Hammerite smooth blue mate? Not dissing your original choice, but it is a real nice colour, very easily DIY ()as is any paint and colour) and cheap to do as well
Go check some out, you may be pleasantly surprised
beat me to it mate i was going too suggest smoothrite as ive used it before and will use it again on my current car ,doddle to do just get a fine brush and take your time,oh and give brake calipers a thorough going over with wire brush, dremel etc too get rid of crap before painting
Beat to it again lol
Hammerite smooth is what i have bought though not used it yet. I got black though.
Although I also used hammerite smooth if you are looking for a the VXR colour I believe halfords blue caliper paint is a close match to the VXR blue
I used hammerite smooth as well, mine need a second coat, time and weather permitting. They do some surprisingly useful colours.
this Halfords blue caliper paint
I did mine its as simple as jacking the car up removing the wheels and with a 1/2" brush and a small art brush took me about 2 hours. Oh and I used smooth Hammerite blue
after the paint flashes off a stanley blade cleaned up the over-brushing, job done
wee tip i like to do is paint the hubs silveron the bit that juts out from brake disc ,it makes wheels look deeper imo,at the very least it looks better than rust lol
I bought some engine paint or something like that from halfords, much cheaper than the proper caliper paint, but same stuff!
