    Default Rac / AA warrenties

Has anyone got or have used one of the above mentioned warranties? Now the manufacturers warranty is out I want to get a warranty with a reputable company but have seen both positive and negative feedback on both.... Wondering what you guys have come across?

    Thanks

Heard the AA one is very good ...I only used them the last 3 months of my ownership of the Veccy (but never had to claim) ...
For the cost if your battery dies you vertually get your yearly subcription back ..
Never heard a bad word about the cover on here ....

I have the AA Warranty 5* Mechanical Breakdown Insurance and is very good. Used a couple of times (last one was an alternator fault in the winter) and have been very prompt and never had issue, payment comes out very quick.

If I was to use the Nationwide Autocentre places then I would not pay a penny, its all done in-house, but as I use a garage of my choice, I pay them, and AA send me a cheque upon receipt of the garage work - you wont have an issue of getting the money back, as the work is pre-approved.

It was about £220 (per year) which included an extra £25 premium to cover the turbo and aircon system. There is a £500 limit per claim (no claim limit) but you can pay extra for a higher limit.

Yeah I saw AA one its just the RAC is only £65 a year £500 limit or £110 with £2000 limit per claim. So a rather large price difference.

A basic repair will be covered by the £500 limit and will cover most failures you should expect

It is very unlikely to get a failure between £500 and £2000
However, I've had two on my car during the OE warranty
If the car is worth more than £3000, then it's worth it
However, if the car is valued less than £3000 then it wouldn't be worth it

    Really....

You'd be very surprised, or not looking at this forum (and virtually all others too).
