Default Creaking/clunking from front suspension after bilstein & eibach upgrade

As title, it's been a week since I did the upgrade. Whilst I was at it, I changed the front & rear drop links.

Just been to Glasgow this weekend and pulled into a services on the M6 about an hour into the journey, and noticed this creaking/growning and clunking from the driver's side front. Sounded a bit like a frog croaking...but really loud.

Has done it all weekend, but it doesn't do it at first...seems to take a while of driving to trigger it.

Any ideas on whether it is the top mounts or the ARB bushes?

Any way of finding out which bushes are fitted, other than climbing under the car?

    Cheers in advance guys!

indeed as Kev has said when you fitted the new suspension did you replace the top mounts and bearings as well .... it would have been worth the extra money as you could have built up the front legs and just bolted them on ....i suspect that the bearings are worn/dry and thats the cause of the noise

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

Yeah I have to admit to not bothering with changing the bearings and top mounts...

So, do I really need to change the mounts, or can I get away with just changing the bearings? There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the mounts when I had it all in bits...

Cant see it being the top strut bearings in all honesty,as they tend to show up when your turning the steering wheel at slow speeds, there is a test you can do ..get some one to turn the steering wheel while you put your hand on top of the mountif its goosed you'l feel it through your hand...?Did you tighten the top mount nuts up ,silly question i know but does happen..failing that look at changing the ARBs.

OK, I've ordered a full set of front and rear ARB bushes and a top mount bearing. Hopefully that lot will sort out the noise!

    Rear ARB bushes here

    Front ARB bushes here

    Top mount bearing here

Did you fit the lower spring sleeves when you fitted the springs?
