We seem to have some of them under the shed at the bottom of the garden.
Looks like I will have to get rid of them some how.
I have Two dogs but they are of little use this time.

I just bought the poison and let that deal with them which it seems to have done rather well.

Air rifle does the job... shame I'm out in Germany I would love to put one between their eyes. Such a lovely humane way of thinning out the population

Best thing with the poison is that if the mother is pregnant apparently it gets into the milk and kills off the babies too As its slow working none of the rats detect that the little block of food is killing them off... genius!

could try baited cages, since you have animals and poison is out of the question. could do it yourself and release the blighters far from home, or call the rat man to sort it out

Or shoot them point blank... it compensates for your bad aim that way

I have been to our local "DIY" and bought Two Rat traps. They are like giant mouse traps. See how I get on with them.

We have one under our shed, eats poison and still lives, oven eats the sweets stuck to the rat trap and lives! I'll get it one day!!! Even tried choc spread on the trap and still doesn't set it off!
