Default Price to get VX to fix cruise control

For all the people that had it done, can you tell me how much you paid to get it done and if it was VX or private fix.

Also was this ever a recall item?

    Cheers ginge

some have just changed the arm from a breakers & had no probs, i believe if its from the same model there's no need for anything else, some just replace from any model.

Yep, could be a symptom of a faulty CIM like mine was.

ok, just been out for a drive in it and placed my feet under the pedals and lifted them up and engaged the CC, which made it work. So that tells me it is the clutch spring (I am guessing, tell me if i'm wrong) Now is this a tricky job or can it be easily fixed DIY style?

I think its a DIY fix. Do a search for it as I've seen a couple of threads recently for it.

Mine went 3 years ago. It was done under guarantee by the dealer who sold me the car. He said it was a pressure switch on the either the brake or clutch pedal. Have a look there first.

Had a search and I can find the information, but not how to do it. Also there is a switch and a spring is that right? How do I know which has gone and where are they?
