    Default Wing Mirror

    Hi, my drivers wing mirror is coming away from its holder (the glass bit) how are these attached as I want to pull it off and superglue it back on.

    If its just the glass bit,it will just peel off...
    the heater leads are connected to the backing plate.

    Yeah it's just the glass bit, and I don't have heated wing mirrors

    I managed to catch mine before it fell to the ground. I used silicon sealent to glue it back on, it works a treat cosidering it is a heated mirror too.

    mine came off 2 days ago when cleaning it, double sided tape (strong) sorted it.

    Mine fell of when the wife slammed the door, as she does. I superglued it back on. I keep waiting for it flying off when driving!!!

    mine fell out while driving and smashed on floor.... i got a new mirror...just the glass from halfords.. The packaging was tough to open and i sliced my finger on glass trying to open. The original had a smooth rubber edge around it but the halfords one was just a rough cut glass edge with no rubber and not even ground smooth so if you buy one from there ..watch your fingers.. ouch!!!!

    Mine fell off last week when washing the car, used my Wife's hot glue gun to stick it back on!

    Just stuck mine back on with superglue and got some on the front of the mirror anything I can use to get superglue residue off?

    Seems to be yet another common fault............both mine have came off. Black silicone sorted it right out and heated elements still work a treat.
