    Default Rear Electrics

    Evening all,

Bit of strange one... My rear left indicator is permanently on even when the car is off. Also comes up on bulb warning as does rear left light but that isnt on or working. However bulb is fine. If i plug the other rear right side bulb holder into the left side the reverse and tail light stay on. All bulbs swapped and working, so its not a bulb.

Here are the faults after being read.

    Source Address: REC
    Source Address: 0x00000254
    Identifier: 0x0102
    VIN: W0L0ZCF6838072060
    Part Number:13142520
    Software version number: 000003EE
    System name: REC
    System description: LEAR 0400
    Alpha code: BJ

Number of stored fault codes: 3

B0530 - Rear Left Turn Indicator Circuit Open
    (04) - Present

B3881 - Rear Left Tail Light Circuit Open
    (04) - Present

B3803 - Comfort Closing Low Voltage or Circuit Open
    (06) - Present

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Thumbs up

Looks like a faulty REC [rear electrical centre] mounted in the inner n/s/r 1/4 panel, have had it when the reverse lights come on, on there own!!!. You,ve not tried wiring in any extra lighting in to the rear lights???? as this can damage the REC circuits within it.......

Only thing i have wired extra to that light is reverse sensors. They have been in for a year or so now. Also had a genuine vx towbar fitted a year ago by vx. I had the car through the hand jet wash place the other day could this have shorted anything?

Could it be the relay do you think? One of the 10amp fuses next to the relay for towing elecs had blown... not a fuse on the fuse box but an extra fitted one.
