    Question Twinaudio

    Does anyone know if you can retrofit Twinaudio, in the console in the back or in the travelassistant? (in a Signum in combination with CD70)

    Is there someone with twinaudio in his TA?
    My TA has at the bottom only 2 pins active (out of the 10). So I suppose this is only for the 12V-power and that there is probably no extra cable present.

    I opened the console in the back and there I found spare green and brown contacts, but I suppose these are for heating backseats... Is it possible the cable for twinaudio is allready somewhere present (as the one for heating seats is)?

    Any ideas would be great

    Just been looking at a facelift brochure (UK obviously), and I can't see any mention of a Twin Audio option being available with the units fitted in those models - CD30, CD40, CD70. It was available on the pre-facelift.

    I'm guessing that as it's not even an option on the facelift, there won't be any wiring in place to even try a retro-fit!

    another difference between Vx and Opel... Was probably not very popular in the UK;
    here it is an option on all infotainment systems (CD30, CDC40, CD50, CD70, DVD90).
    Thanks for the effort anyway

    Ah right - so you European folks get extra features then?!! Humph,that's not fair!

    If you do a search for 'twin audio' you'll see a few posts pop up - and somebody did, from what I can make out, retro fit the Twin Audio (although they never gave any instructions etc.) But that was fitted in the rear of the centre console - like this.

    If you've looked behind there and only seen the heated seats wiring then you may not be able to do it. What I don't know (and in reply to your question) is whether by fitting the TA panel into the Travel Assistant whether it will connect up wiring that may already be present in the Travel Assistant loom!

    If it's not expensive for the Twin Audio panel, you could always give it a try! I'm not aware of anyone having the Twin Audio fitted in their Travel Assistant!

    Sorry I can't help more.

    Thanks for the info and hints Duncan.
    Seems that 6 people confirmed earlier to have twin audio. 3 of them in their TA, 2 on a Vec and Brake Buster in his Sig in the console... and others were thinking of a retrofit.
    So if one of them would read this... or others who opened once theirs TA...
