    Smile Good mechanics in kent

Hi all have just got hold of a 54 plate 1.9 120 signum its cover 114K and i would like it to cover the same again .
Located in Ashford Kent and could do with finding a good vauxhall mechanic competent to change that dreaded d.m.f. and clutch along with all the other servicing
    Timing belt
    Oil flush
    Egr valve
    Inlet manifold
    C

Cant afford the main dealer prices as have already found £600.00 saving on parts through the advice from this site alone. keep up the good work
    many thanks in advance.

I do believe the 120 isn't cursed with the inlet manifold swirl valve failure so could save urself some money there by then again I could be wrong ( according to her indoors I usually am )

nope sebadee you are right on this occasion, the 120 doesn't have the inlet manifold issue i have a 120 too, is it on the original timing belt and clutch? is the dmf making a noise? if not then don't worry, would be worth getting timing belt done though if its on the original one(can't imagine that it is though)

    Thanks for the info
When i brought it they said the thrus race bearing was the cause of the noise
Had been very slow to pick up in 1st and 2nd and a lot of vibration when cafyns took it for a test drive they said it was miss fireing
They had it on the computer no miss fire egr valve and swirl valves in inlet manifold noise must be d.m.f
Took it home vibration seem to be not so bad pick ups great in 1st n 2nd strange no parts have been changed
Timeing belt was done at 75 about 4 years ago all i have is a tick in a service book
What is it with this d.m.f that causes so much problems clutch seems fine how bad can it get befor it does damage
    Thanks for your reply
