hi thought i would have a nose round the engine bay today and noticed the swirl flaps bar laying on its side do i need to worry and get it done asap ? i havent noticed any diffrence in power and there is no mangement light on.

Leaving the swirl flaps disconnected will only effect low down power/flexibility.
Seems the pressure from the turbo leaves them stuck open.
However there are a few down sides - inlet pressure (turbo pressure air, exhaust [from the EGR] and oil mist) can blow out of the worn housing leaving a smell of exhaust in the car.
These were my swirl flaps which have been bouncing around so long that it was almost ready to break off and go down the inlet.
So whilst you can leave it it is a gamble in the very long run.
