Default Vxr arb bushes front... Part no? My car appears to have a VXR arb

Well, my front anti roll bar is way bigger than the 24 or 25mmm jobbies I bought!

Bit annoyed as had to break the bushes out, so for now fitted the 25mm ones but they dont still perfect in the clamp, and don't close around the arb properly, will do till I can get the right part?

I'm guessing that as I have IDS. Which is VXR stuff, then it must be a VXR anti roll bar? Measures around 29mm diameter crudely... Does anyone have part number? I've mashed the bushes and can't read number... I fear they may actually have been ok, as very hard to remove!

Also... Will drop links be VXR too? Or they all the same??

    Cheers for your help...

they are a split bush like they are on my siggy. I also bought the same as you and didn't fit them, i had no luck with finding the vxr ones as vx list the 25mm as replacements.

Same probs, completely different style too with the little rubber notches that stick out each side... just awaiting Powerflex to finish and release these new ones (See Spoon's thread). Probably cost more but I can see them making a huge difference especially at the back.

New setup is tighter, and very much so at the front, but the Signums fat old arse rolls like a bus in the corners (although again much more controlled).

Thanks for your pm help Pete!

So.... I'm really confused, should a vxr have 25mm arb then? Wish I'd never taken bushes out... That said, even those these new ones don't fully close around bar and leave a 5mm ish gap..... Driving and handling is 100% better! Just don't like idea in my head that they don't appear to be right part...

Sorry to say but they are definatley not the right part. My mechanic would not fit them at all as they are completely different and also my original ones were still in good condition. VX are no use either as they state the 25mm ones are the correct ones for replacement. TBH they do not look up to the job compared to the original ones which are much more hefty. So the hunt continues. Lol

So the part that vauxhall supply, for a VXR is a 25mm rubber bush then? Very confused by this.... Are VXR owners simply not replacing their ARB bushes then?

What i can say is... there is a marked improvement in these ones performance wise, so my old ones were shot.... i need to piece together then broken bushes and get part numbers!

When I went to buy new bushes for my siggy I was told you couldn't buy the bushes on their own - you had to but the whole bar. So I asked them to search for Vec VXR bushes and they gave me the 25mm ones which are different to the ones fitted to the car. I realy dont know about the VXR lads as I posted this same question on VXR on line before buying them but as usual when your not a VXR driver no one seemed interested in helping. (just my opinion)

As said Powerflex are working on releasing the bushes. I bought 24s and 25s and none of them even looked the same as the originals. The ones I recieved were round with a central spine or rubber sticking out, where as the originals have notches that stick out through holes in the bridle... So I wouldnt fit them
