£300! Someone get me a hankey, I weep 'cos its so cheap.

150 SRi, no points and full no claims, insured fully comp..................wait for it..................wait for it...................£800! I am 43 and live in Manchester (which probably also has something to do with it, being the the car crime capital of the UK).

This was up over £200 pounds on last years quote. Was told by broker that it was because of all the scrotes out there making these staged claims.

Phone them and ask to speak to customer services. When you get through to them state you are not happy about the increase and that you intend to go with another company. They will then ask you if you have had any quotes, tell them what you have been quoted.
In my case Direct Line had increased my premium by around £50 when I told them I was leaving they asked who had quoted cheaper and by how much. When I told them almost every other company was cheaper they offered me a price which was £40 cheaper than last year.

Give it a go you have nothing to lose if they don't offer you a better deal.

Try green light insurance. Though your car will have to be modified, so tell them you have fitted a rear spoiler, or a different grill. Doesnt have to be much of a change.

Every time i have modified a car the insurance has come down. Also mention your a member of here

Yeah, but make sure you tell them you store your motor in the royal mint overnight, or they probably won't want to know!!
