Default Message for RRB in Edinburgh ( or anyone who knows of a 3.0V6CDTi for sale:Scotland

    RRB......

That one you went to look at/test drive in Dunfermline.....

I'm going up to look at it this coming week if its still there. How did you get on when you test drove it?. I recall you saying it had a few stone chips and it didn't seem to "pick up" very well in lower gears?. Can you elaborate a little on that?. How did the salesman at Simpson motors come across?. Someone that you could strike a not bad deal with or not?.

Also, if anyone else knows of a 3.0V6 CDTi SRi for sale in Scotland ( or anywhere in the North of England!! ), can they let me know?. I have cash sitting here burning a hole in my pocket!!!.

NetworkQ at my local dealers say they dont have any in their database just now but they will keep on looking. I'm looking to buy this month some time, so any info appreciated of any cars going locally.

    Ta.

Yep, thats the one I'm going to pop up and look at if its still there. It's the one that RRB test drove. Its just what he said about it not feeling "right" in the lower gears in a previous thread thats putting me off it a little.

Also.....its a long time since I bought a car from a dealer of any kind. All hypothetical, but that one has a "sticker price" of £10995.

What do you all reckon would be a reasonable amount to try and blag it for?. I am thinking along the lines of "I have no trade-in and I'm going to be paying cash". Reckon they will take anything off the advertised price?.

Thats what I was thinking, yeah m8.

Going to go up middle of next week and see what they say. I'm not wanting to get involved with any mucking about as far as prices go. I will offer 10k cash for it and see what they say, depending on what I find out about the car once I get up there to look at it.

It's a low mileage 3.0 CDTi, which is a big plus to be honest, and to be quite truthfull, I dont know how much the sellers know about the car itself. If they are switched on, they will know its a pretty good price at what they have it advertised at, however, a few factors have me thinking "outside the box" on this.

RRB went to look at it and said it had a good few stonechips on its front end, as well as having some doubts on how it drove. It's also been advertised in their stock list for a good few months. These cars dont hang around on forecourts for long, so I'm suspicious as to why this one has not been snapped up already?.

Will have to go and look at it in the flesh I 'spose.
