Trying to figure out what gearbox I have - I think that EPC will tell you this (and I dont trust the dealer to do it!)
I'll PM you my VIN/chasis/reg details.
Thanks in advance

Can you not see the gearbox housing behind/below the main block, which should have the gearbox number embossed on it? My F40 is clearly visible on my CDTI 150.
With the correct VIN, anyone with EPC can see the original build of that vehicle and any options.
I'll be happy to help if you wish.
I've already tried - his gearbox type isn't listed in EPC, just says "gearbox, manual, 6-speed".
EPC shows nothing (Thanks Jezza)
I did try to have a look last night (It was dark admittedly (I did use a torch!)) but found nothing. I think the trouble is the gearbox model number is in different places on different gearboxes. This is an extract from TIS...
Which suggests that on the F40 it is front/top of the bell housing, and on the M32 it is actually in the car, near the gearstick.
Ill have a better look at the weekend.
I can check via EPC if you PM the VIN.
Lah-dee-dar....lol
