My parents have just got a brand new sabb 93 1.9 tid sport, they picked it up yesterday from Glasgow

Anyway's, at the garage they were blethering to the salesman and he asked them if they were interested in buying a SAAB tuning box

I was taken aback when my old fella told me this today as i didnt think they would be dealer approved

Anyone have anymore information or opinions on this??

Do vauxhall offer the same unit seeing as its the same engine??

BTW it is a lovely car

Vauxhall offer an Irmscher box which will keep your warranty intact, expensive I beleive !!

My Brother was also offered a tuning box when he bought his new l200, which would have cost him £526+ vat but he got a mistsibushi genuine 1 brand new from the web for £158.99 including next day delivery then got main dealers to fit it for him to retain the warranty 15mins work £25!!!!!!!! Stealers right enough!!

Powerbox i8506006 = 1229 euro, somewhere around 827 pounds for 23 pk/40 Nm extra.
With Opel you lose warranty (partly), but Irmscher takes over the warranty

WOW thats alot of cash

The old fella never said what price he was quoted but knowing SAAB it would not have been cheap

Yep, it'll be a Hirsch product as they are officially endorsed by Saab. You can get Hirsch remaps etc. done at a Saab dealer and it will keep your warranty intact.

Like the Irmscher box mentioned before, it's a lot more expensive than other comparable products - but that's what you pay I guess to keep your warranty!
