Had a magic couple of days did a run Ayrshire home, to Barnsley, to Derby, Bradford and home overnight in Cleckheaton road.

Highlights were the A66 going South yesterday as the sun and frost made the run magical, and the A65 Keighley to Kendal today in the soft spring sun it was brilliant with a few good bursts of speed on some deserted stretches when I hooked up with an 11 plate Scirocco

M6 police in Cumbria driving a 58 plate Volvo V50 and in West Yorkshire a black unmarked Audi A4 avant S line!

Overall cruising the run I got 50mpg on the OBC, so kudos to the wee Vectra

you can do 10 % over the limit without them bothering to much lol

On the motorways Cruise was set at a GPS 76mph I am aware of the 10% general rule but still slowed a little for the "scam"era van on the M6 around Jct 40

Yep, good cruising machine the CDTI 150. Went on a 518-mile round trip last year, plenty of fun and loadsa loud pedal. Averaged 50.3 mpg. Would have been mid-30's in my old 2.0T.
