    Cheers jingerman, I had a good idea what failed, but never really seen one cut open. Nice to see the construction on the sachs DMF too. Much better design than the piece of poo thats pictured.

    Manufacturers could find a way to make DMF's more reliable, but then how would they sell them as spare parts, by millions world wide?

    I just got my car back an hour ago with DMF/Clutch/CSC replaced, Im so happy with result it drives like a new car, and im getting more power pulling off and no noise whatsoever, and just hoping to get more MPG from it. I put in about 45 pounds a year ago and took it to lancashire from london and back and drove it for a further 2 weeks on same tank, im hoping to get more this time. 55 plate vectra 1.9cdti breeze 120bhp 8v.

    Thanks for posting that, i've never seen one before

    I hope the springs in Vx DMF's are better than the springs in their Suspension
