Default An alternative to the catch tank?

    Any one tried this: http://www.eds-motorsport.de/shop/en...x-turbochager1

It looks to me like it could well be an alternative to adding a catch tank.

Just looks like a restrictor that goes in one of the breater pipes.

Be nice to know where it goes and if it makes a difference.

Mine's just vented to atmos with no restrictor.I went on a 300 mile trip yesterday, with speeds of up to 90 on the motorway, and had no problems whatsoever.FELIXX.

It looks more like a solution so the system can stay sealed and not exhaust harmful gasses into the atmosphere.

My main concern with that would be if it got blocked. What happens then!!

That looks far too restrictive to put in the breather line and if it gets blocked then there goes your oil seals

Best keeping it to atmosphere I say 12 months nearly now and 20000 miles with mine to atmosphere and no probs at all

Even there, being too restrictive it's not letting the engine breath. I would stay clear personally.

It doesn't exhaust any gases except AIR and oil mist. I have been expelling to atmosphere at the back of the car for years and about 50,000 miles. I wouldn't be keen to put a restrictor in there myself but I can't believe EDS would not have carried out some tests before making it available.

I shall ask them about it.
