Default Need things answered quick(stuck on what to get)

right my problem is that ive just sold my car and been looking at vectras for some time. my problem is that im stuck on what to get sri 150 or 120. i read through this forum on people saying dont get the 150 etc but there was so much going on my head got fried.

i think il be going for around 2004 - 2005 sri. does the 150 have more problems or do both have problems. a mate has a 120 and had to get clutch flywheel etc done for big money but does the 150 have more problems than this. advice would be appreciated thanks.

I have a 120, not owned it for to long TBH, but from what I have read on here, I personally would avoid a 150, every car has its own problems, but there are certain things to watch out for with the 150. Swirl bar is definatley one of them, The problem is you need a new manifold if this has gone. Im sure loads of other people will reply to this.

All cars have problems, and I hate the negativitey towards the 150 on here! Best way to see it is 'Fore-warned is fore-armed'

I have had my 150 for over 3 years and yes, replaced a few niggles but on the whole, it has been a really good car. Sailed through 4 MOT's and drives very well.

The 120 will offer a slightly better mpg figure but the 150 will offer a slightly bigger smile.

*Awaits all the 150 haters to come along and pee on the bonfire*

Both are bad. The 150 is easier if it breaks but they have manifold failure. For econemy get a 1.8 bullet proof and good on fuel. People will moan and say i'am liying but trust me worked at vx for 8 years and are the worst diesel engine out their.

    Both get egr failure,
    Flywheel failure,
    Water pump seize,
    Alternator failure,

Lol, brilliant, would have to agree about the 1.8 though, I have heard nothing but good things about this car.

You can't argue with experience but the 1.8 will be gutless

The VVTi is quicker than the 120 and would give the 150 a very good run for its money, may even be better because of its gearing.

    1.8 - 175 nm torque
    1.9 120 - 280 nm torque
    1.9 150 - 320 nm torque
