    Default Exhaust tuning

Hmmm,,,, never gave this much thought before but need to ask, as you can "tune" the sound on petrol exhausts easy enough, has anyone tried tuning the sound in their diesel engine cars?

I ask as I saw a MkIV golf diesel with a stainless system about 3" round tailpipe and it sounded almost like a big old Yankee V8 or a Scooby as it pulled away and trust me it was a 1.9 TDi 150 underneath the hood. This would be a very interesting idea to me,,,,

you can tune the sound with the boxes. i have a straight through, originally a single exit but it was too loud, really sounded like a race car tho lol. i have a dual exit now and it sounds much better, really nice deep burble and i would agree with it sounding like a massive v8. Shame it doesnt go like one

I found the single exit with no CATs or scilencers far too loud also, gave me a head ache on the motorway. I opted for quad exits and it is very quite.

So a dual exit would be quieter than single? I'm having dual ovals decat n precat was hoping I wouldn't need the centre box but don't want it loud
