Default Do you ever have moments of 'peace'?

This is probably going to seem a bit random, but do you ever have moments of peace?

Like now, I have this song on I Hear Sirens - Breath On Glass, I'm on a college course full of numpties that really don't seem like they want to be there, sorting out some friends problems, sorting out my own that I won't divulge on here but are just niggly little things (pretty much, being taken for a ride by everyone because I'm soft), I don't sleep well and I'm waiting for the appointment that will tell me what is wrong with my liver (related to the 'is there a doctor in the house' thread). But still, it's a lovely clear day outside, the sun is setting and the sky is going orangey, that song is on, it's warm and I can't help smiling to myself thinking hmm, things could be worse.

This happen to other people? Just all of a sudden, nothing crap matters anymore and you just smile?

Or maybe I'm a tad weird

Yeah, sometimes. Not much at the moment, as life is so hectic, but listening to Eva Cassidy's "Simply Eva" while driving back from the hospital yesterday was good. Stopped me worrying about the results of the tests.
The best I ever had was back in 2002, just after my Mum died. We were in the depths of Gascony in France, in a 12th century church. I sat in the pews while everyone else went up the tower, and the half hour I sat there just thinking really cleared my head out.
