Smile Inlet Manifold Getting Done Today

My Veccy is in the garage today getting the inlet manifold done (at last)

Can't wait to get it back and see if there is a difference, fingers crossed!

The garage has found that one of the vac pipes going into the back of the engine somewhere is badly split and have ordered a new one but wont be here until the morning so picking it back up tomorrow. Could this split vac pipe be a cause of my lack of power problems too?

When I bought my vex it needed a new inlet as the rod had fell off the back of it, the car was intermittently really sluggish under 2k, whilst I was waiting for it to go into the garage I cleaned the egr valve which solved all my problems, I still went ahead with replacing the inlet but that wasn't causing my problem, you will probably find it's your vac pipe giving you a lack of power, there's people on here that have done 30k with a knackered manifold and noticed no problems
