Apparently its been recorded on national statistics that the age men are most likely to get caught speeding is....

43 years old... not average... the actual age of 43.

This is going to be a difficult year for me as I'm 43 until December 2011 and with a clean licence...

Stage III is being done with the VXR so I'm now on Def Con One

Is it a mid life crisis?

Is the mortgage paid up at 43 so men buy fast cars? or fast motorbikes?

Wonder what the reason is? Any ideas?

Youd be surprised, there a large gap between exceeding the speed limit, and being caught....... 17 years for me

well im 42 and got caught speeding a month ago, not in my vxr but my 90bhp work van!, not once but twice with in 5 miles of each other, and im 43 in 18 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

43 because thats only a few years before bowel cancer starts its slow development so your body is telling you to rebel before its 2 late.

Wrong. Points stay live for 3 years. They remain on your licence for a fourth year as a record just in case you get done again, then the courts can see you haven't learned your lesson The 5year thing is our old friend the Insurance company. They want to know if you've had any convictions in the last 5 years.
