    Default Stuck boot lid

    hi guys,

    its driving me crazy.
any one had the problem with the boot lid not opening?
pressing the boot button on the keyfob or on the drivers door to unlock, press the button on the boot & all i can hear in the motor but not releasing the boot.
    the lid is shut tight.
when driving, the display shows the boot is open & the interior light is on.
any idea what on earth has gone wrong?

As said, its a common fault, loads of posts on it, just do a search. You might be lucky and the switch might just need a clean.

Fairly easy remove inside trim held by fixing screws and push on spring fasteners, then along the line of your number plate lights you should see a line of nuts holding the above housing in place remove these and you get to the micro switch , as the others have said it may just need a clean , there , is a ball bearing inside the switch which becomes gunged up give that a clean out with wd40 and see if it starts working again if not its a new one required
I paid £22.60 for one recently from my local stealers the part no of your old one should be 1310 7621 this has been superseeded with a modified version part no 2444 1401
