Sorry to revive an old thread but did you ever do anything with this? Looking to get the diameter sizes for my 1.9 120 intake side so i can make some pipe up. Been searching through forum threads and cant find a definitive answer.

    cheers, alex

    Hi dog book.

the intake pipe going from the air box to the inlet side of the turbo. I know the inlet pipe or cobra pipe looks pretty restrictive and seems to flatten out aroumd the same location as the oil breather. Im just trying to make a good support base for when i start tinkering with a fmic and a remap

From what I know it's not a problem so can be left alone. But I'm sure the RO for south west did something like that on his Vec. On phone now so can't open more screens to get exact name think it's Adam have a look in that region and you'll find him

Well its 70mm off the AFM, then unsure what the intake side of the turbo snail is? so you would have to contend with a reduction anyway. The fit between the aircon pipes and the section this standard pipe firts to is quite tight anyway, so some form of moulding or reduction would be needed... At a guess, anything you manufacute is not going to be as smooth or as gradually stepped as the standard pipe.

Is that inside the hard plastic intake pipe between the air flow meter and the turbo?
