Angry Decisions... What do I do??

Well, the missus drives a Vectra C 1.9 CDTi 150. The time has come when everything needs doing...

Clutch and DMF - been rattling for 25k now.
Inlet manifold - swirl bar popped off as flaps seized, and leaking oil on one bearing.
    Thermostat - sticking open.
Timing belt - last done 40k miles ago.
Water pump - do with timing belt off.

The car is a 55 registration, and has 122,000 miles on it, with full service history.

A mate of mine with his own workshop has offered to supply and fit the lot, for £1000, and my help.

So, do I fix it and keep it, or sell it as it is?? What would you's do?

If it is all sorted for a grand it would be the more sensible medium term option to keep her, as at least you know it was all changed as a replacement car could be a bit of a gamble in comparison after all of these things are replaced?

Hope so! It's her car, and she likes it. But she was looking at Golf GT TDI's today Trying to persuade her to keep it, as I know for a fact, if she sells it, I'll never see MY Vectra!!
