    Default A lucky escape

Just had that horrible sinking feeling, was sitting at a roundabout waiting for my chance to pull out when there was a thump and the whole car lurched forward. Woman behind me had done the classic thing of not looking to see if the car in front had actually gone and started to pull out, in to me!!! Both got out to have a look and thankfully there's not even a scratch, had the worst going through my mind though

Believe me when I got home, I washed it and was climbing all over and under it, there's nothing I can see, not even a mark on my freshly painted valance. I think the bumper just flexed as I didn't feel any solid contact. Still peed off though, just spend ages making it look good and it could have all been undone if she'd been going any faster!

everyone does this now and that's one reason why insurance premiums have reached record levels. the higher the premiums go, the more common false claims have become by the look of it

as long as you're happy there's no damage at all, that's good. quite a sturdy rear bumper on these cars. one plonker ran up my rear in his mercedes in 2007, pretty much totalled his front end. my vectra c bumper just needed a respray, checked by the insurance people no other damage other than paint.

Always seems to sound worse than it actually, rememeber last year when I had my vectra (I do miss that car, worse thing I did getting rid of that) and slipped on icey road and went into hedge row , the noise was horrendeous thought the bumper, headlamp etc was a gonner , but nothing !! amazing!!
