Default New tyres - clocks out?

    Hi all.

Finally got 4 new tyres on, unfortunately I've not been able to afford the ones I was aiming for because I've had to spend more on other things so there's 4 new Continentals on it. No more wheel rumble from the back! However, I digress.

The speedometer is now out - the old tyres were 215/50/R17, these are 225/45/R17. This has caused the clocks to be a bit out at speed. Can this be corrected with Tech 2? Using the sat-nav for speed at the moment.

It is quite normal for the clocks to read a few mph different with 225/45's over the 215/50 (economy will also drop a couple of percent too, mind)

If you can access Tech2 then I suppose yes they can be adjusted but is it worth it if you don't have easy access to Tech2.

Well that's good to know. I'll try and make up a list of all the things I fancy being Tech 2'd on the car then see how much I can get the local VX garage to do it for.

    Cheers.
