Think it was John.Roberston2 that originally posted a link to these guys and all I can say is im impressed. The Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield is starting to look rather rusty and tatty but managing to still read the part numbers fired it in to genuinepartsearch. They had some in stock but no price, anyway expecting it to be around £30-£40 mark I sent of a request for a price.

    £6.83 inc Vat and Delivery!!!!!!

Thanks DasArab for posting this thread when you did, came at an opportune moment! Now sorted with my replacement alternator.

Just FYI, it's actually AutoVaux that are behind this site, so no wonder they are good prices. Bizarrely, they had nothing showing on the main Autovaux web site so it's worth looking on this one, or at least ringing AutoVaux as it looks like they have things within the company which don't get added to the main site.

    No problem Duncan.
It is weird the way they work as I did a search for a thermostat for a member here on GPS with no luck, but found it on the Autovaux website. I wondered if they were maybe sourcing old stock through the dealer networks, a bit like Car Parts Connexions but through one source instead on many dealers? TBH I don't know how they can do the heat shield ive ordered, delivered, for the money they are asking, its not exactly a small item.

Just ordered my alternator from them and I now see why it wasn't listed on the Autovaux site. The guy said that the dealer that had this would ship it tomorrow, so it sounds like they work in the same way as Car Parts Connexion where they have a database of items held by Vx dealers all over the country and act as an intermediary basically.

Good find by John and reminde by Dasarab, shocked to find the moulded mudflaps are £26ish. Think I will be ordering a set.

Do you have a part number for the abs wire? Cheers

The 3 digit code is HYW its on the fireproof tag. but the part number is 13128267. if your needing one double check its the correct 1 for you car as this 1 is the 1 with the square gray block connectors at the ends. not the round 2 pin type.
