Default Cheapest insurance for 22 year old

I have a 2.2i Direct SRI 2006, 4 years NCD, 22 years old, no accidents, 3 points and live in a low risk area.

Any suggestions on insurer? Cheapest i have found so far is swift cover at approximately £500 but i cant protect my NCD which is annoying. LV is 1000, churchill 1000, admiral group around 800.

    Any suggestions?

£500 at your age mate on a 2.2 is pretty good if you ask me. I dont think you are going to find anything a great deal lower.

yeah im quite pleased with £500, but i want to protect my NCD ideally as am quite proud of having a clean slate and dont really want to lose them in the event of a bump.

Weird thing is, this time last year, didnt have the points but they only make a small difference, was a year younger, year less NCD, and had a 3 litre 2001 bmw coupe, and it was a lot cheaper with churchill, around 800 as opposed to over 1000, has insurance gone up that much in a year? The vectra has to be lower risk surely! !

Insurance has gone up loads mate.

At 22 i insuranced my GSi less than this year at age of 24... with 2 extra years no claims. Absolutely crazy how insurance has gone. I'm now paying £870 with chris knotts (Highway is the insurer).

I only do 5k a year too at that
