I'm sure people have run that size with no problems
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

width will be fine but will cause a fair amount of speedo misreading as the correct ratio would be 215/50 235/45 to have the same rolling radius.Plus a 235/40 onto a 7" rim will pull the sidewall and shoulder in quite a bit, they should really be fitted on a 7.5 or 8J rim.

Derek I believe they are an 8j rim the tyre wall is pretty much straight, I told I could even get 245 on if I really wanted but it would be a bit over kill

Im not sure about the exact stud fitment, all I know is that its 5 stud!! I'll have a go this weekend and see what happens

    cheers guys

It will have a cast mark on the rear of the rim with the width, my mistake I thought you were going to swap the tyres onto the Vectra rims as I think,,, Mitsi 114.5mm PCD from memory(I think) are a different PCD for the bolts to Vectra at 110mm PCD

I've got 235/45/17's on my 100 edtn rims and they're a good fit. No more bulging than the 215/50's and the rolling radius is within 1%
