Default Remapping 150 cdti Sri Auto. Help

Been looking at mapping my cdti 150. Can I first say although tempting fate I have had this car since 16000 miles and it now has 53000 and not an ounce of trouble. Best car I have owned.
I had a look a Celtic tuning they do a map for 315 at your house or do a handheld device for 315. The handheld is sent to you, you read your ecu, send it back to them then they send it back with a map. You can then turn the map on or off as you please. If u change the car then send the unit back and they will do the same for about £120.
I am a little worried as I have the Sri with the auto box.
So can anyone recommend a tuning place.
Anyone running a remap on a cdti auto. have you had any problems.

hey mate, I'm in the exact position as yourself. Ive got an 07 cdti150 auto sri and have been trying to get info on maps etc. From what Ive found out, tuning boxes should be avoided as we have DPF's fitted to our motors. Although, I contacted DTUK, and they told me the new red CR2+ (multi map) box is perfectly safe to use with a DPF fitted car.

Maps wise, I've contacted, MAS performance, BSR and Celtic Tuning, all of whom have stated that the auto box responds very well to mapping and you get same power figures as manual version. Hope this helps!

The benefits of getting you cars mapped would be that you code have the EGR and DPF coded out and removed, no more DPF regens or EGR issues, most ramappers should be able to do this, MAS also do a DPF removal pipe.
Ask Winnie, he has had his doen by MAS, I think.

Go to Map-Tech.co.uk and speak to Gareth is possible. They just did a remap on my 07 plate xp1 at the weekend for £180.

Loads of knowledge, really trustworthy and fantastic customer service

Mine is now running at around 180-185bhp

MAS performance tuned Winnie's and they deleted the DPF and EGR valve form the ECU too.

180 that sounds cheap and if it's a good service and they can bypass the troublesome parts then sounds like a winner to me. Thanks for the advice. It was worrying how much torque the auto box could handle.
One last thing if you have the dpf ruled out during remap does that mean it won't ever cause me a problem

Don't know what the Auto could handle tbh but if the DPF is deleted from the ECU then it shouldn't be a problem providing you get it removed physically from the car.

I getting 194 bhp our of mine with Mas map and dpf and egr removed

Mas charged me 215 quid for a remap and to remove the software I removed my own dpf my self by Mas will happily remove it for you and weld in a dpf removal pipe but obviously will charge more for that not sure how much more

And he has rolling road facilities so you will get a before and after run amended exactly how much bhp you have got

I strongly recommend getting the dpf removed if you have a map it will free up more power you will def get more mpg and will have no future probs at all regards dpf and egr valves saves alot o hassle and money also if your getting a map done you may aswell
