    Default full canbus help please

Hi. I have scanned through loads of posts with similar situations
but still not found what im looking for.
    Can anyone help please.

I have a vectra c 06 face lift 1.9cdti 150 and believe its full canbus?

I am putting this car on the road as a taxi and require
a permanent live feed to the taxi meter machine

i see some people say the car power system shuts down after
    20minutes.
I need it to be totally permanent due to times when work is slow and could be an hour between jobs etc.

Has anyone come across a permanent live yet that could do this job?
I keep hearing boot fuse board mentioned.

I don't fancy running new feed from battery as can imagine been a pain getting through the bulkhead.

Or is there a point on main fuse board that the battery live comes too before it goes through canbus system?

    Any help appreciated

    thanks in advance people.

I'd say your best bet will be to run a direct feed from the batt. There's a gromet on the passengers side under the scuttle tray to the right of the pollen filter (lookin from the front). You can access it from the inside by removing the glove box (5 screws & unplug light). Put an inline fuse as close to the batt as possible and if the meter doesn't have a proper power switch, as opposed to a stand by switch, then i'd also fit a switch to prevent overnight drain.

    Thanks to all who replied.
Will take it from battery then now i know there is a route through
. The meter has on and off switch anyway so straight feed from battery
    with in line fuse.
    Thanks all
