    Default 1.9 CDTi flexi

My flexi is making a clicking sound and seems to move very easy so I take it its broken.

Does anyone have a picture of that part of the exhaust (I have a DPF on mine) and how it attaches to the bit before that.

If it does fit to the cat can I fit a decat too and does it put the engine management light on if I do?

Lee, I don't have a picture, but it attaches to the dpf via a 3 stud flange, and attaches to the bottom of the turbo with a similar 3 stud flange, and there is a clip that attaches to the bottom of the engine, very easy to get on and off, I can price one up( I get trade price) on a new one, or I may well be picking an engine up for mine on Tuesday, so can see what sort of state the one is like on the breaker, and I;m down in Portsmouth with work on Wednesday this week, more than happy to help stick it on if you need, I'll trade you exhaust fitting for the solder work on the cd70 aux in. Drop me a PM with your number.
    Cheers

can you explain the clicking to me a bit more please.

i have a ticking osrt of sound from the front of my 150 cdti when accelerating when on boost, seems to get louder as the revs get higher??

does this sound like the flexi pipe or could it be the exhaust manifold??

    cheers

When the car is parked up and I blip the throttle it makes a horrible rattley/clicky noise.

Had it up on a ramp with the engine off and if I pull at the flexi it clicks as if the pipe inside has split/broken and the 2 parts of the pipe are clicking against each other.

If you remove your dpf which is combined with your cat then you will need a remap to disable the regens and you can't remove your pre cat as this will cause dpf problems unless you remove your dpf and get it mapped out then you can remove pre cat with no probs and no eml
