    Default insurance claims & repairs

    hi eveyone just a quick question i had a bump in the vectra in november 2009 and i made a claim via the insurance it was repaired and they fitted a new front bumber e.t.c anyway whilst looking at the car this morning ive noticed a rather large bubble by the grill and looks like maybe water has got into it or something anyway it looks like its going to pop. dose the bumper and respray come with any guarantee ? it was done at a vauxhall dealership thanks in advance

    The repair will have a 12 month warranty against it from any defects.

    Contact your insurance as it might be covered depending if they have any different warranty deal with who repaired it.

    yea thanks for that mate ive just been looking on google and the claim was with zurich-connect witch comes with a 3 year warranty so looks like it should still be covered thanks mate

    Most insurance repairs are three years, refer to documents issued by the repairer on completion

    In the event of this repair failing, contact the repairer

    when i used to work in the audi bodyshop the repairs were to manufacturers standard eg 10 years iirc

    Not much good with VX and the Vectra C, the paint is only 1 year
